Come celebrate the start of St. Charles Oktoberfest where we carry on the German tradition where the mayor of Munich kicks off the festival with the honorary tapping of the first keg. Yelling to the crowd, "O'zapft is!" (It's tapped!) to the crowd signals the start of the event.

On stage, surrounded by folks adorning traditional regalia, cameras, and immense excitement, Mayor Dan Borgmeyer hammer the Kolbenschankhahn into the vintage wood-barrel keg. The first of many kegs to be tapped and drained throughout the weekend.
