Join us for the thrilling and adorable Wiener Dog Derby! It's a one-of-a-kind event where we celebrate the unique charm and racing prowess of our favorite long and low companions - the Dachshunds! Watch as these pint-sized, speed-loving pups dash down the track with tails wagging and ears flapping in the wind. Cheer on your favorite wiener dog as they compete for glory and the title of Wiener Dog Derby Champion.

Our event promises a day of family-friendly fun, filled with laughter, excitement, and heartwarming moments. Alongside the races, there will be delicious food, games, and activities for all ages. Kids can enjoy face painting and bounce houses, while adults can browse through local vendor booths and find delightful souvenirs.

Event FAQs

Can only Dachshund's participate?

While we only allow wiener dogs to race, any pup can be a cheerleader for the event.  You will just need to purchase a CHEERLEADER bracelet to allow your pup to be at the festival on Saturday from 11am-6pm. For official Frontier Park rules, please check out the City of Saint Charles Parks & Recreation, click on Park Rules & Regulations.

Can I bring my dog?

St. Charles City Parks Ordinance states that dogs are not allowed in Frontier Park during Special Events 🙁 Dogs that are participating in the WIENER TAKES ALL Event may be in the park on Saturday, September 28th. You must have a bracelet in order to be in the park with your dog. Bracelets are only valid Saturday, September 28th from 11 am – 6 pm. However, please keep in mind that lots of people and children and loud noises will be in the park as well. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BEHAVIOR OF YOUR DOG!!!
